This is the foundation of our service and consists of regular sales visits to the market by our team of representatives. The purpose of these visits is:
• to maximise the sales of all new titles to the European book trade
• to develop and maintain backlist sales
• to develop and maximise promotional co-operation with European booksellers
• to liaise over issues and problems
• to provide credit control assistance
REPORTS
After each trip, every publisher receives a report providing an analysis of the market covered, advising on action to be taken and dealing with any individual issues arising during that visit.
MAILING
All our clients benefit from access to our highly detailed and regularly updated academic and book trade mailing lists.
THE BOOK TRADE
We present our publishers lists on a title-by-title basis, so you can be confident that your product receives as much attention as it would from your own representative. All possibilities for backlist stock and promotion are fully exploited. We ensure that all our clients are kept informed about the most effective use of bookseller mailing lists, catalogue promotions, exhibitions, etc.
TEXTBOOK PROMOTION
Regular academic visits ensure that selected titles are promoted directly to lecturers for course textbook consideration.
PROFESSIONAL/SCIENTIFIC INSTITUTES AND ASSOCIATIONS
By regularly calling on key academic and professional European institutes, we are able to provide information on relevant congresses, seminars and meetings. Where possible we arrange book exhibitions and/or catalogue and leaflet displays either using local booksellers or our own representatives. We also obtain and use association mailing lists or tie in with their own mailings to members.
EXHIBITIONS
We also co-operate with companies that undertake book exhibition tours of European countries. These exhibitions are thematic and are set up in departmental libraries or reception areas on campus. We guarantee that named librarians, academic staff and other interested parties are invited to view the displays.
PUBLISHER CONTACT
Product knowledge is gained and maintained via regular contact and sales meetings.
